The Motherhood Session

A relaxed, connection-centered session focused on the bond between you and your children. Honest, beautiful images that preserve the way they reach for you, look at you, and belong with you.

reserve your session

You are the one documenting everyone else — the birthdays, the quiet mornings, the messy sweetness, the way your children are growing faster than you can believe. But so often, you are missing from the frame.

A Motherhood Session is created for that reason.

This is not about perfect poses or everyone looking at the camera. It is about preserving the way your children fit in your arms, the way they reach for your hand, the way they look at you when they forget anyone else is watching.

These are the images that remind you: you were there. You were loved. You were part of the story.

a session centered on your connection

Artwork-worthy storytelling

These images are designed to feel timeless — the kind you’ll want framed in your home, saved in an album, and returned to years from now.

The pace is gentle and child-led. We’ll make space for snuggles, movement, quiet moments, laughter, and the natural rhythm between you.

Slower and more intimate

This session is intentionally centered on you and your children — the closeness, the tenderness, the playfulness, and the everyday connection that often goes undocumented.

Mother-Focused

how this is different from a family session

A family session captures the whole family dynamic. A Motherhood Session narrows the focus to something quieter, more intimate, and deeply meaningful: the relationship between a mother and her children.

This session is ideal for moms with babies, toddlers, young children, or multiple children. It can take place outdoors, in-home, or in a studio-style setting depending on the season and feel you want.

You don't need a special occasion.    Motherhood itself is reason enough.

You don't need a special occasion.

Motherhood itself is reason enough.

  • want beautiful images with your children that feel natural and connected
  • want something softer and more intimate than a full family session
  • are in a season of babies, toddlers, or little children and want to remember the closeness
  • want artwork of you and your children that feels meaningful, not overly posed
  • want to exist in the photos your children will someday treasure

After your session

During your session

I’ll guide you with simple prompts while leaving room for real connection and movement that's child-led and play-based.

You do not need to know what to do in front of the camera. I’ll gently guide you through natural movement, simple prompts, and quiet moments that allow your connection to unfold without feeling forced.

We’ll talk through location, wardrobe, timing, and the overall feeling you want your images to have. Whether your children are playful, shy, wiggly, snuggly, or all of the above, the session is designed to meet them where they are.

What to expect

Wardrobe plays a beautiful role in the overall feel of your images. For Motherhood Sessions, I recommend soft textures, gentle movement, and colors that photograph beautifully with your children — creams, whites, soft blues, muted greens, blush, linen, knits, and subtle patterns.

Styling that feels soft, timeless,
and true to you

You do not need to have it all figured out. I’ll help guide you toward pieces that feel effortless, flattering, and aligned with the artwork you want to create.

Made to live beyond the screen

The beauty of a Motherhood Session is that these images only become more meaningful with time. What feels like an ordinary season now — the way your child fits on your hip, the little hands around your neck, the way they still need you close — becomes something you’ll want to hold onto.

These images are created with your home in mind, whether as framed artwork, a quiet gallery wall, or an heirloom album your children will someday turn through and see how deeply they were loved.

They do not need to perform. Kids just need to be kids, let their personalities shine through. I expect movement, snuggles, silliness, shyness, and breaks. The session is designed around real moments and real connection.

“What if my children don’t cooperate?”

Maternity focuses on the anticipation of your baby’s arrival. Newborn focuses on your baby’s earliest days. A Motherhood Session is centered on the bond between you and your children in whatever season you’re currently in.

“How is this different from maternity or newborn?”

I’ll guide you through wardrobe options so everything feels soft, cohesive, and timeless without being overly matched.

“What should we wear?”

Motherhood Sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, or in a setting that fits the feeling you want for your images. Ideas include having a picnic in your backyard, baking cookies or simply snuggling on the couch.

“Where does the session take place?”

Not at all. This session is for mothers with babies, toddlers, young children, or even older children. The heart of the session is your connection.

“Is this only for moms with babies?”

The Motherhood Session is intentionally focused on mom and children. If you’d like images with both parents or the full family, I recommend booking a Family Session.

“Can dad be included?”

One day, your children will look for photos of you. Not just the ones you took of them — but the ones that show how you held them, loved them, comforted them, and belonged to them.

A Motherhood Session is your invitation to step into the story you are already creating every day.
