Nashville is a favorite city of mine for several reasons:

1. my sister and her fam live there (no brainer and best excuse to visit)
2. the best hot chicken and let me B specific…Hattie B’s, don’t waste your time on anything else
3. everyone is ridiculously talented!

It wasn’t until after the Ott family session that I learned Joanna, the sweet momma to two adorable little boys, is an incredible singer! She has an album, Machinery, that is really beautiful. There are mini-clips on her website (www.joannaott.com), go (maybe after this post) and check her out. Joanna has such a unique voice!

The family session with Joanna, her husband Mark and their boys was so much fun. I love doing lifestyle photography with families because the personalities in the kiddos tend to shine through only after a few minutes of warming up. Also, the dynamic between a baby and their older sibling(s) is really cool to watch, and capture. Their eyes are wide open taking in everything. In general kids are so happy, innocent and spirited, you can’t help but grin. Plus, give them bubbles and you have entertainment as long as the liquid lasts!
