Katie + Brian | Blue Ball Barn Wedding

Katie and Brian are such a sweet couple. Very relaxed and just simply excited to be married with their closet family and friends. It felt like hanging out with old friends, which made our job that much more fun and enjoyable.

Opting to not do a first look, Katie and Brian wanted the ultimate moment to be inside the stunning St. Elizabeth  Church in Wilmington. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her mother and brother to wed her groom in a full Catholic mass. After the ceremony, we scooted over to the nearby Marian Coffin Gardens in the Wilmington Highlands with Katie, Brian and their bridal party to commemorate the special day. The gardens were in full bloom and provided the perfect backdrop with surrounding greenery and colorful blooms. Such a lovely compliment to the guy’s blue suits and the elegant blush tones of the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Those same hues brought pops of color to their reception at the rustic-meets-modern Blue Ball Barn, with bright pink and navy linens. Beyond just the colors, Katie and Brian incorporated so many elements of fun into their reception with craft beers, a donut bar (!!), floral centerpieces in unique bottles, beer soap favors for guests and even an oversized game of Jenga. The newlyweds also selected a local band for their guests to enjoy all night and boy was there a good dance party!

A few favorites from an incredible wedding day.

xoxo
