Kelly and Andrew were married on a beautiful day in June. I know the go-to is to discuss weather, but I just can’t help it when you’re served up a gorgeous day in the summer! Having met in 2012, their story is special and truly sweet. Through long distance, adventures of new love and enduring the devastating loss of Kelly’s mother, their bond strengthened over the years. Which is why on their wedding day when the chilly morning turned into a perfect sunny day with puffy white clouds did we all know the reason. Kelly’s mother. Her presence was felt the entire day and weaved throughout the details. From the ring Kelly wore that was her mother’s engagement ring to her father’s heartfelt toast that had everyone in tears.
To feel the love of a person you haven’t met is quite remarkable. It was truly a celebration and everyone surrounded Kelly and Andrew with mounds of love and admiration.
Both the ceremony and reception were held at Philander Chase Knox Estate in Valley Forge National Park, Pennsylvania. The historic home is stunning and a beautiful backdrop for a summer wedding. We had the most fun with their wedding party and couldn’t get over the details of the stunning white reception tent. Enjoy a few of our favorites from Kelly and Andrew’s wedding day.
