Under the boughs of a huge oak tree, Liz and Kareem said their vows on a beautiful spring day at The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During an emotional first look, Liz surprised Kareem with a special engraving inside his wedding ring with a few words from their favorite song. Loved ones played an integral part in their ceremony, with Liz’s parents walking her down the aisle, Kareen’s father performing the ceremony and the prayer book from Liz’s grandmother’s own wedding.

Rain had threatened all morning (I was stalking the weather radar!) but fortunately held off during the ceremony for a truly memorable outdoor location. And then with impeccable timing, just as guests moved inside for the cocktail hour, the skies opened up with an extra dose of good luck on their special day.

After their first dance to Everything by Michael Bublé and heartfelt (and funny!) toasts, Liz and Kareem treated guests to a yummy dinner, an elegant purple cake and a full dessert bar with cookies made by a friend. Festivities continued into the night with plenty of dancing and laughter in celebration of this amazing couple.
