Old City Philadelphia is home to many historic and iconic landmarks, as well as modern, elegant wedding venues. The Down Town Club by Cescaphe is one of those venues! It is easy to see why Sydney and Matt chose The Down Town Club Wedding venue to say “I do” on their beautiful fall wedding day! Before the ceremony, Sydney and her crew had a relaxing and fun morning getting ready. They sipped champagne, threw confetti, and surrounded Sydney with love and support. The bride even had a custom jean jacket made for her to wear at the end of the night that said “wife of the party”! 

Once the bride and groom were dressed and ready, they shared a first look at the historic Merchant’s Exchange Building in downtown. After a touching first look, we captured their bride and groom portraits around the downtown area and with their wedding party. Sydney’s bouquet featured a gorgeous arrangement of white and blush roses with burgundy accents. The bridesmaids’ burgundy dresses were beautiful. I loved the romantic color palette of Sydney and Matt’s fall wedding.  

The Down Town Club Wedding

The wedding ceremony took place in The Down Town Club’s large ballroom with floor to ceiling windows. Gorgeous natural light flooded the room and gave guests a gorgeous view of the city. I loved their unique guest book, which was a wood sign with the city skyline and their wedding date engraved in it, leaving space for guests to sign the wood surrounding the city. What a beautiful keepsake they will have from their wedding day to display!

After the bride and groom exchanged vows, everyone enjoyed champagne and cocktails while the ballroom was transformed for their reception. One of my favorite details was their four-tiered wedding cake, which featured cascading pink and burgundy flowers and an adorable figurine of their dog, Lola, helping herself to some cake! 

The newlyweds shared their first dance to Free by the Zac Brown Band. While they danced, they had a pedal cannon which created a beautiful rainfall of pedals all around them! The rest of the evening was filled with laughter and joy as the couple celebrated this new chapter in their lives with all their closest friends and family! 

Sydney and Matt, it was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day! Your wedding was gorgeous and I had the best time celebrating and capturing your special day!
