Chrissie and Ryan married on a gorgeous fall day in October. Their romantic French Creek wedding day was filled with an overflow of love and happiness and intertwined with beautiful and sentimental details. One detail in particular that was incredibly special was a heart cutout from one of her father’s favorite blue shirts and sewn in her dress so that he could be with her. With Chrissie’s father passing, her wedding day was bittersweet, but he was very much present and a part of their wedding day. In addition to the blue heart, Chrissie also had a charm attached to her wedding bouquet with her father’s picture so that he could walk her down the aisle along with her older brother.
The bridesmaids chose their own style dresses from Reverly. All were a gorgeous rust shade in satin, chiffon and velvet, pairing beautifully with the rich autumn tones of the floral bouquets from Matlock Florist. Not only is it fun to see various styles and cuts with the bridesmaids’ picks, but I loved seeing the different textures and tones of fabrics all together. The personality of each bridesmaid comes through in their selection!
Chrissie shared a first look moment with her two brothers, which I absolutely loved capturing. You could tell they all have a strong relationship and it was wonderful to capture this sweet moment together. After sharing a first look with her brothers, Chrissie headed outside for her first look with the groom! Ryan was waiting at the secluded dock by the charming cottage located by French Creek’s pond. Following their first look, we explored the gorgeous grounds and captured their wedding portraits. This Chester County, PA wedding venue sits on acres of stunning scenery. Needless to say, there was no shortage of beautiful backdrops.
The wedding ceremony took place outside by the pond with a gorgeous view of the hillside. In the front row, a seat was reserved for Chrissie’s dad. After a beautiful wedding ceremony, everyone headed into French Creek’s ballroom for the reception. Chrissie’s brothers gave a heartfelt wedding toast sharing how they always looked out for Chrissie since their dad’s passing, but they were now passing the torch to Ryan. Their speech had everyone in tears by the end. After everyone dried their eyes, the couple and the guests went on to enjoy a wonderful wedding celebration. The band, Millennium, was AMAZING! They are one of the most popular and sought after bands on the East Coast. They are from the DC area and I highly recommend them as they were just fabulous!
Chrissie and Ryan, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your beautiful wedding day! It was a magical day and I loved photographing every moment and special detail. Cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness!
