Renea and Chris’s stunning Deerfield Country Club Wedding was a dream! Located in Newark, DE Deerfield Country Club is one of Delaware’s premier wedding venues. The couple originally planned to have their wedding ceremony outside on the gorgeous grounds of the venue, however, the weather didn’t cooperate. The rain held off long enough for us to capture their wedding portraits outside, but the ceremony had to be moved indoors. 

Even with the last minute change Renea and Chris’s wedding day flowed flawlessly. The bride got ready with her crew who wore matching red and black flannels. Renea’s white and black flannel was personalized with her new last name on the back! The bride’s wedding details included many sentimental items belonging to her mother who passed away. A handwritten note from her mom on an engraved handkerchief, a bouquet charm with her picture, and a decorated chair saved for her at the ceremony made sure her presence was felt throughout the day.

Deerfield Country Club Wedding

After getting ready, the couple met in a corridor for their first look. First looks are one of my favorite moments to capture! I love watching couples’ genuine reactions and emotions in this special, intimate moment.  Both Renea and Chris were beaming! Afterwards, we quickly headed outside to capture portraits before the rain. 

The bridesmaids wore rosewood hued dresses and the groomsmen navy suits, which paired wonderfully together. The romantic wedding bouquets were arranged with white, peach, light pink, and pops of dark red flowers. Renea’s friend from Elizabeth Ivy Designs created all the floral arrangements, including the stunning circular wedding arch. This beautiful work of art included variations of the same flowers found in the bouquets along with greenery that wrapped around the circular shape. 

After a lovely wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests moved into Deerfield’s ballroom for the reception! Everyone, including their sweet little flower girl, danced and celebrated the newlyweds. It was the perfect ending to their beautiful wedding day!
